The event we’ve all been eagerly awaiting, the 58th
Annual Cherokee National Holiday, is now less than a week away. This coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, over 100,000 people from across the country will come to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to celebrate! Dozens of activities are scheduled over three days including a parade through downtown Tahlequah on Saturday morning, a classic car show, live music, cultural games and competitions, softball tournaments, a powwow, food, refreshment and more. This year is also the 10th anniversary of the Cherokee National Youth Choir. Acting as ambassadors for the Cherokee Nation, the youth choir has traveled across the country while promoting Cherokee culture, music and the preservation of the Cherokee language.
